Terms for venues and authors
Version 2026-10-02.2
Who can claim a page. For a venue, you must work there or be authorised to act for it. For an author, you must be the author, or their publicist, agent or assistant acting with their permission. We check every request by hand, and may ask for proof, call a venue's public phone number, or check with the author's publisher.
What you can post. Real events that are open to the public, in person or online, with accurate dates, times and details. No ads, spam, or anything unlawful, hateful or misleading.
How we use your listings. We show your events in the Bookmark app and on bookmarkevents.app. You also let us share your event listings (title, date, time, place, authors, book and links) with partner apps and sites that help readers find events. Listings always link back to you.
Your content stays yours. You keep ownership of what you post. You give Bookmark a free, worldwide licence to show and share it as described above, for as long as it's listed and in archived form afterwards.
Keeping things accurate. Please update or cancel events that change. We may edit, hide or remove listings that break these terms or that readers report, and we may remove your access to the page.
Leaving. You can stop managing a page at any time by emailing us. Events that already happened stay in the archive.
